A physical and digital museum:

EVHS dreams of a physical and digital one. Slowly, but steadily, EVHS is building its capacity for the trust and complex work ahead to realize this dream. There are many hard lessons to learn.

Reality means getting the ducks in a row first –strategic planning, coalition building, fundraising, and preserving artifacts.

The Former Plantation Manager’s House

Located on Renton Road, the Plantation Manager’s House was in Hawaii’s 2008 most endangered historic places list. In August 2019, the EVHS officers and advisers toured the house interiors and can confirm the urgency of saving. The late Councilmember Ron Menor, wanted to know what and how much it will take to save the building. He sought funding in the City budget for an updated study on the matter.
