“When I think talk story I think about talking story in family carports/outdoor lanais/under mango trees, after church, at the chicken fights…families/neighbors getting together”

Talk Story

In Hawaiian, “Wahi Pana” are locations or sites that are legendary, celebrated, or noteworthy. Sometimes translated as “storied places”, Wahi Pana are historical & cultural resources of the Hawaiian Islands.

With EVHS, this is an informal group to get acquainted with and bring together folks who can add to our collection of the area’s history. Of special interest are those individuals who were born and reared on the ʻEwa Company Plantation, who retain first-hand remembrance of “growing up ʻEwa”.

Here are their stories.
